FAREWELL AFTERNOON

OTOROHANGA HOSTESSES Mrs H. W. Atkinson was the guest-of-honour at a farewell afternoon at the residence of Mrs W. A. Henderson. Otorohanga, recently. The joint hostesses were Mesdames Henderson and Noel Smith. Mrs Smith, on behalf of those assembled, presented Mrs Atkinson with a crystal salad bowl as a farewell gift. A delicious afternoon tea was served in the beautifully decorated rooms, bowls of dahlias and marigolds being used to good effect. Mrs Atkinson will make a short visit to Auckland prior to proceeding to her new home at Tokomaru Bay.
