MATANGI SELECTION BTRONQ TEAM CHOSEN SAVILE CUP AT FEILDINO The Matangi Polo Club, which decided on Thursday evening to contest the S&vile Cup at the New Zealand polo championships at Feilding, starting on March 20. ha 6 selected the following team for the trip:— No. 1, C. G. Howlett; No. 2, G. Peake; No. 3, J. R. Ranstead; fullback, H. Peake. Reserve. L. Cbitty. The team, which is an improving combination, includes G. Peake, one of the outstanding players in the New Zealand team which was victorious In the Gold Cup contest at Sydney last year. With the team will travel 13 or 14 ponies. Rlcklt Cup Rules The club h*s decided to make the Rickit Cup, which was presented to the club by Mr V. E. Rickit, of Cambridge, this week, a trophy for open challenge on similar conditions to the Cameron Cup. the leading scratch challenge trophy in the Auckland Province. The decision means that the trophy will be one of the leading ones in the province and great interest should centre around the first cieillenge, which is likely to be from Cambridge next Saturday.
