POLICE CHIEF RETIRES

SUPERINTENDENT D. O. FRASER (Special to Times) AUCKLAND, Saturday On his retirement on superannuation yesterday Mr D. C. Fraser, superintendent of police at Auckland, was the subject of warm tributes at a large farewell gathering of members of the detective and uniform branches at the central police station. The Commissioner of Police, Mr D. J. Cummings, presented Mr Fraser with an electric radiator on behalf of the members of the Auckland district police staff. .Mr Fraser was formerly inspector at Hamilton.
