The barometer reads 30.05 with a railing tendency. Cloudy and unsettled weather Is indicated to-day and to-morrow, with lower temperature and westerly wind* prevailing. SPECIAL FORECAST (By Government Meteorologist) the special forecast by the Government Meteorologist, cover.'ng the Waikato-Thames Valley Is as Tollows: General situation: Pressure Is still relatively high in the north but a deep and complex depression Is crossing the southern portion or the South Island. The forecast is for moderate to strong west to north-west winds, turning arter about 2 4 hours to strong south-west. The weather will be fair to cloudy and mild at first but some scattered rain probable by to-morrow. The sea is becoming rather rough to rough on the west coast and slight to moderate on the east coast.
