VILLAGE OF TRAUNSEE. —One of the most "beautiful lakes in Austria is the Traunsee, which lies amongst mountains to the east of Salzburg. The lake is 7½ miles long but is not nearly so wide, and is connected with the Danube by the River Traun. Near the south-end of the lake the scenery is particularly grand and impressive. On a little peninsula stands the little village of Traunsee , nestling amongst the trees. An interesting sight is the pulpit of the village church. This pulpit is in the form of a ship at sea with its nets cast.
