Writer of Lyrics Dies in London Desmond Carter, author and lyric writer, has died in London. Desmond Carter was a contributor to “Punch,” “London Opinion” and other periodicals. He was part-author of “Walzes from Vienna.” “The Dubarry,” “Jill Darling,” etc. He also wrote the lyrics for many others.
