MR W. A. Q. SKINNER
FORMER GOVERNMENT PRINTER (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Friday The death has occurred of Mr W. A. G. Skinner, aged 74, Government printer from 1922 to 1933 and associated with the Government Printing Office for 54 years. Born in New Plymouth, the late Mr Skinner was educated in Wellington and was associated with several printing anti stationery firms before joining .1 lie Government Printing office as an apprentice iu 1879. He served with the Wellington Naval Artillery Volunteers from 1881 to 1891. He is survived by his wife, one son and three daughter*.
REV. W. SHIRER (By Teierrapb—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Friday Th*» death liis occurred of the Rev. W. .-hirer, 0.8. E., aged 81, who was actively associated with St. James’ Church, Wellington South and the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand from 1888 until his retirement in 1929.
