PERSONAL
The Hon. W. Nash, Minister of Finance, arrived in Auckland from Wellington yesterday morning and will return this evening.
The Hon. R. Semple, Minister of Public Works, began a tour of North Auckland to-day.
Mr R. A. White, of Wellington, is at the Hamilton Hotel.
Mr A. E. Wishart, of Hastings, secretary of the Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club, is visiting Hamilton.
Mr D. C. Fraser, superintendent of police at Auckland and formerly inspector at Hamilton, retired to-day. His successor is Mr J. Cummings.
Mr R. H. Toy, a graduate of the School of Architecture, Auckland University College, who is now in London, has been appointed lecturer and studio instructor in architecture at the school. The position is a new one and represents an addition to the staff.
