Courts will be judged on the following scale of points:— Not more than TWELVE articles in each of the following sections: Thrift - 20 points Arts and Crafts - - —. 20 M Fancy Needlework 15 n Plain Sewing 10 „ Knitting, Tatting and Crochet 15 „ Toys 10 „ Not more than SIX bottles each of:— Jam points Preserved Fruits 5 n Jellies .. 5 „ Sauces and Chutney 5 „ Pickles .. , 5 n Home-made Wine 6 „ Dried or Preserved Vegetables 5 „ % COOKING SECTION to include (15 points) 15 points 1 Plum Pudding 1 Sponge 3 varieties Scones (1 each) 3 varieties Bread (1 each) 1 plate Pastry 1 plate (or jar) Plain and Fancy Biscuits 1 plate Fancy Afternoon Tea Cakes 1 iced Cake (5 points) 6 points OTHER SECTIONS:— Medicinal and Kitchen Sundries. Limited to 40, of which one may be a First Aid Outfit 10 points Basket of Fruit 5 „ Basket (or box) of Vegetables 6 „ Originality of Articles 10 n Artistic Display, may include X2 articles for Decoration only 25 „ Total 200 points Courts exhibiting more than the stipulated number of articles to be disqualified. Entries close May 6th, 1939. Courts will be available at 8 a.m. on Monday, May 29th. The Courts must be completed and open for inspection by 9 p.m. on Monday, May 29th. No additions or alterations can be made after this time, until the judging has taken place. A prize for the best thrift article included in the Courts will be awarded by the Waikato Federation.
