THE INSTITUTE SPIRIT. The spirit of the Institute is the spirit of unity, of co-operation, of happiness, of tolerance and of understanding. Within its charmed circle social distinctions cease to exist. It is non-sectarian and nonpoliticaL The strength of the movement lies in its ideal of teamwork, i.e., co-ordination of individual effort. Each member is expected to “pull her weight,” not towards individual welfare, but for the general good. Thus the W.I. strives towards its high goal, “to make some nook more beautiful and some heart happier.” Surely no aim could be more worth while*. “It is work for a God.” Institutes will be divided into two Classes: “A,” over 45 members; “B,” 45 members and under. Secretaries are requested to state the number of members when making the entry. A space of 10ft. by Bft. and a background of 10ft. by Bft. will be provided for each Court. Each Branch will be expected to compete. The Shields will be awarded to the Institutes making the most comprehensive and artistic display. All exhibits must be made by a member of the Institute. Three shelves will be erected, one, three feet wide and two, one foot wide. Exhibitors will be allowed to move the shelves and to add any stands for use in the Courts. The work of preparing the Courts may be done by ladies only. The Waikato Winter Show Association will provide printed names for each Court after judging has taken place. No name to be included in the decoration. The Waikato Winter Show Association will contribute 40/- per institute entering a Court. This sum will be paid to the Waikato Federation, which it is considered will pay for any transport of Exhibits. No cut flowers may be used for decoration of the Courts. All work exhibited should be done in the three years previous to the Show. Judges will be appointed by the Waikato Winter Show Association in conjunction with the Waikato Federation.
