Wendy Barrie Signed by R.K.O. for Three Picture*
Wendy Barrie, blonde star of many successful screen features, who now is playing the lead opposite Victor Mcand Chester Morris in “Pacific Liner,” has been signed by RKO for three pictures to be made within the coming year. Her first appearance under the new contract will be in “The Saint Strikes Back,” second in RKO’s series of ,: n?” aims built around the mysterious character created by the British hcicksi, Leslie Charteris, in his widely-read novels. Announcement was made earlier of the signing of George Sanders to play the role of “The Saint” throughout the remaining fllms of the new series. Robert Sisk will produce “The Saint Strikes Back.”
