TRAFFIC OFFENDERS
CONVICTIONS FOR SPEEDING Traffic prosecutions comprised almost the entire list of cases at the Magistrate’s Court, Hamilton, to-day when the business before Mr S. L. Paterson, S.M., was the lightest for some time. In prosecutions conducted by Senior-Sergeant G. H. Lambert, Thomas Wynne Evans was fined 10s and costs for having no warrant of fitness and Herbert Meroiti was fined £1 and costs* for driving a motor vehicle without a license. Speeding over 30 miles an hour in a restricted area led to Alfred William Bryant being lined £1 and costs when prosecuted by Traffic-Inspector C. I). Treadgold. Speeding in heavy traffic vehicles resulted in l’onald Arno Leuschke be’mjg lined £2 and costs while, for a similar offence, Lim Sun was lined £3 and costs. Three prosecutions for exceeding the 30-miles-an-houp limit in restricted areas were conducted by Traffic-Inspector F. C. J. Cook. Alice Ann Gillum Hicliard Samuel Liddington and Waite- McGill were each fined £1 and costs.
