FILM PREVIEW
FRANK CAPRA'S SUCCESS ••CAN’T TAKE IT WITH YOU” Equalling the standard of his "Mr Deeds’’ pictures. Frank Capra’s “You Can’t Take It With You" was acclaimed an outstanding production by a representative audience at a preview screening at the Theatre yesterday afternoon. Subtley illustrating that wealth and financial power do not always create happiness or cement friendships, the film draws a slurp contrast between the Wall Street Kirby family and the poorer Sycamore li• •u-* liold who have the courage to lead their lives as they wish. Lionel Barrymore play*; a very lovable role as Grandpa Yandorhog who quit work—for fun. The most powerful personality in the film is undoubtedly Edward Arnold as the Wall Street financier who learns eventually that the best things in life are free. All the characters are admirably played.
