INDUSTRIAL COUNCILS

CO-OPERATIVE OBJECTIVE MINISTER IN HAMILTON “Unity and co-operation are essential between employers and employees if we are to progress economically,” stated the Hon. P. C. Webb, Minister of Labour, interviewed in Hamilton yesterday prior to leaving for Auckland.

Mr Webb stated that he was attending a meeting of representatives of workers and commercial and industrial organisations in Auckland this evening to set up an industrial advisory council in line with those 6et up elsewhere. He added that similar meetings in the large centres such as Hamilton would take place in the near future with the object of establishing councils.
