PRE-WEDDING PARTIES

MISS G. HUBBARD HONOURED KITCHEN EVENING Mrs A. M. Madill was hostess at a party at the home of her mother, Mrs F. J. Tall ley. recently, in honour of Miss Grace Hub-bard, who is shortly to be married. The evening was spent with games and dancing, after which a delicious supper was served. The guests brought gifts for the kitchen of the bride-to-be. The guest-of-honour wore a smart frock of pink and black striped soie, and Mrs Madill was wearing black georgette patterned with ivory. Mrs F. \V. W. Hubbard wore a charming frock of navy and white crepe soie. Those present were:—Mesdames F. J. Tattley. 11. Farr, V. W. W. Hubbard. H. M. Tattley and C. Seccombe: Misses Rita Holmes (Dunedin), Dulcie Griffiths. Mavis Griffiths. Irene Moore, Billie Murtagh, Nora Galloway, Dorothy Robertson.
