POWER RETICULATION
CENTRAL WAIKATO WORK SUPPLY FOR MATIRA AREA NGARUA WAHI A IM PROVE ME NTContinued progress in reticulation work is being made by the Central Waikato Electric Power Board, according to the monthly report of the engineer-manager, Mr J. B. Ellis, .presented to the board meeting yesterday. The Whangamarino North extension will be completed within a few days, including the consumers' service lines. The contractor has the consumers’ installations well in hand. The extension from Te Hutuwai to Aotea, including consumers’ service lines, have also completed, and consumers' installations are progressing satisfactorily. The Matira extension, newest of the board's schemes, had been started and should be ready for livening in three or four weeks. The supply for this section will be taken from the Franklin Electric Power Board’s reticulation for at lea si five years. An ini prove me ill of Ihe reticulation at Ngaruawahia had begun. An additional transformer is being erected near the regatta grounds, and when it is com pie I eel it should ensure a satisfactory supply for Hie annual regatta and also to the northern end of the. town. Several alterations to the hoard's 11.000 volt lines on account, of reconstruction work on the main highways and railways were reported. The lines involved the Hamillon-Pirongia highway for the W'aipa County Council. at Tau-piri for Ihe Waikato County Council and at Himtly for the Railways
