RETIREMENT OF JUDGE
A LIBERAL APPOINTMENT AMERICAN SUPREME COURT (United Press Assn.— Elec. Tel. Copyright) WASHINGTON, Feb. 12 Judge Brandeis is to retire from the Supreme Court. While he gave no reason It is known that he has been suffering from illhealth recently, and it is rumoured that he is contemplating a world movement to help his distressed coreligionists. His retirement will permit Mr Roosevelt to make another so-called Liberal appointment, although since Mr Brandeis is from the same group the complexion of the Court will not be changed.
