The programme, despite the near approach of the local meeting, was a comparatively restricted one in that, a number of horses were racing at Rotorua yesterday. A solid round by Cappy and a smart half-mile by Hunto were the best of the morning. Coronation, one of F. E. Davis* Melting string, bowled freely over a round, being timed to run the final halfmile of his work in 56 2-ss. He looks in good order for racing ahead. De Friend W. Thomson), who will probably have his next start at the Te Aroha meeting, ran once round in 2.CJ, his last half-mile occupying 55 3-ss.
