The Dally Herald says as the result of the Australian and New Zealand refusal to agree to a suggested reduction In exports of mutton and lamb the Minister of Agriculture, Sir Reginald DormanSmlth, intends to issue a restriction order over their heads. This Is unprecedented in Empire relations and is likely to have farreaching consequences. Australia and New Zealand ere charging Britain with a flagrant breach of the Ottawa Agreement for which reason Sir Reginald Dorman-Smlth has no hope of voluntary co-operation with Dominion producers. Australia and New Zealand ara “standing pat” on this issue because they expect similar demands relating to dairy produce.
