NEW HIGHWAY DECLARED

ROAD THROUGH LEAMINGTON (Special to Times) CAMBRIDGE, Saturday Important news for the Leamington Town Board and its ratepayers has been received in the decision of the Main Highways Board to declare the main road through the town district a main highway. It is two miles and eight chains long and traverses a route from the Cambridge borough boundary through Cook, Shakespeare, Browning and Carlyle Streets to the Waipa county boundary. Tbe road then links up with the main Roto-o-rangi road to Te Awamutu and also serves the Kairangi settlement. This road has in the past been a heavy expense to tbe Leamington Town Board as the result of the large volume of through traffic.
