INSTITUTE OF WELDERS
MEETING IN HAMILTON PROPOSAL TO FORM BRANCH In order to consider the formation of a South Auckland branch of the New Zealand Institute of Welding a meeting of 30 prospective members was held in Hamilton last evening. The gathering was addressed by Mr J. I. King, of Wellington, who 'is a member of the provisional council of the Institute. He explained the aims, objects and constitution of the Institute and gave a brief outline of the progress made in Wellington. A resolution, proposed by Mr A. C. Caldwell and seconded by Mr E. Blecbvnden. that a South Auckland bronch of the Institute be formed, was carried unanimously. It was decided to apply for affiliation with the Institute. Mr F. J. Abraham was elected interim chairman and Mr R. L. Brunton interim secretary. A vote of thanks to Mr King for his instructive address was carried with y.rl.ama ___.
