FAREWELL AT RUKUHIA
MR AND MRS PERROW HONOURED A delightful evening was held in the Rukuhia Hall recently, U> farewell Mr and Mrs Perrow, who are leaving the district, after residing there for over 20 years. The opportunity was also taken to congratulate their son, Eric, on his approaching marriage to Miss Higgott, of Auckland. Mr J. Penniket, on behalf of the residents, presented Mr and Mrs Perrow with a silver tea service and made reference to the interest taken by them in the Rukuhia School, Mr Perrow being chairman of the committee at various periods during the past years. A beautiful chiming clock was presented to their son and future daughter-in-law with the best wishes of the residents. Suitable replies were made by the guests-of-honour and musical honours were accorded them. Dancing was much enjoyed to music supplied by Mrs Flyger, and a delicious supper was served by the ladies. Body, mauve net over satin; Misses I. Raynes, blue crepe; N. Raynes, pink taffeta; M. Wallace, autumn-tinted voile; J. Bremer, pink and green sheer; M. Banks, red taffeta; S. Bremer, navy and white spotted silk; T. Bremer, navy and white spotted sheer; M. Carryer, red taffeta; M. Hill, brown and pink silk; D. Houchen, black voile; E. Houchen, navy lace; B. Graham, navy and sky-blue silk.
