TENNIS PARTY
AFTERNOON AT CAMBRIDGE Four hostesses, Misses Betty and Mona Ross, Maud Walker and Mary Peake combined to arrange a delightful party at “Lanherne,” the home of Mrs K. S. Browne, of Cambridge, in honour of her twin daughters, Laura and Thelma, before they left to attend school in Auckland. Mr Jock Hicks assisted the hostesses in arranging entertainment for the young guests, tennis, putting, and crazy golf being enjoyed on the lawns. Miss Susan Banks. Miss Phyllis Vosper and Miss Betty Waite were winners of the games. The guests included: —'Mesdames K. S. Browne, W. Walker, J. W. Ross, E. J. Peake, E. D. Hicks; Misses Lynsie Lewis, Mollie Sawers, Heather Taylor, Bertha Peake, Lallie Brock, Edith Vosper, Susan Banks, Betty Waite, Phyllis Garland, Sybil Carey, Mildred Horne, Sheila Richardson, Coralie Foster, Betty Bourke, Faye Nickle, Margaret Cornwall, Maxine Carter, Loma Walker, Vivian Hill, Phyllis Vosper and Ruth Nickle.
