Mrs F. Pinfold, Hamilton, is the guest of Mrs \V. J. Orr, of Whangarei. ' ♦ Mrs Norman Lethbridge, Te Awamutu, is visiting Wanganui. Miss F. Anderson, of Ohakei, Manawatu, has been visiting Matangi as the guest of Mrs Butler. Miss Norma Currie, who has been the guest of her aunt, Mrs T. Simpson, Hamilton, returns home to-mor-row. Mrs Ernest Masters, Morrinsville, is the guest of her mother-in-law, Mrs E. M. Masters, Hillcrest. * * * • Miss Ena Clough, who has been on a visit to her mother, Mrs W. Clough, Somerset Street, has left for Masterton. Miss Muri McDowall, who has been on an extensive motor tour of the North Island, is spending a few days in Taupiri before returning home. Mrs Clark, Northcote, Auckland, has been spending a holiday in Matangi as the guest of Mrs Woods. Mrs F. W. Malyon, Waihi, arrives to-morrow on a visit to Hamilton and will be the guest of her sister, Mrs E. M. Masters, Hillcrest. * * * * Miss G. Uniacke, who has been district nurse at Morrinsville for the past two years, will leave shortly on a year’s exchange duty in Canada. Her successor at Morrinsville will assume the position at the beginning of March. • • • • The principal’s action in appointing Miss N. Copsey as home science mistress was confirmed at a meeting of the Hamilton Technical School Board of Managers last evening. * * * * Two Canadian girls, Miss Jean Campbell, Vancouver, and Miss Helen Macdonald, Kingston, Ontario, who have been appointed to the staff of the Young Women's Christian Association in New Zealand, arrived at Auckland by the Aorangi recently. Mfss Campbell is to be the assistant national secretary of the association, and Miss Macdonald will take the position of physical director at Wellington. Miss Macdonald is a graduate of McGill University of Montreal, and has also studied at MacMaster University, Hamilton, and Queen’s University, Kingston, and also spent three years at the Summer School, Columbia, New York. CAMBRIDGE Mrs E. G. Martyn and her daughter, Mrs lan Oliver, of Piarere, are spending a holiday in Auckland. * * * • Miss Barry Harbutt, who has been staying at Stratford as the {guest of Mrs J. Weston, has returned home. • * • • Mrs R. Diggary, of Ponsonby, is staying at “Kelburne.” m + * • Miss Betty Waite has left to attend the Teachers’ Training College at Auckland. OTOROHANGA Miss Betty Mossman has returned to New Plymouth. ♦ * • • Mrs C. Ashden and family are visiting Auckland. • * * • Miss Joan Rothery, who has been visiting Whangarei and Auckland, has returned to her home. * * * • Miss Marjorie Phillips, who has
been the guest of her mother, has returned to New Plymouth. Mrs A. Russo is spending a holiday in Auckland. • • • • Miss Nancy Sanders, who has been visiting her mother, has returned to Auckland. Mrs V. R. Meredith and Miss June Meredith are the guests of Mrs J. M. Matthews. “Glen Lee.” Mrs F. G. Johnson, Otorohanga. has taken temporary charge of the Dental Clinic of the Otorohanga School. Mrs Silvester, formerly of Otorohanga, and recently of Solomon Islands, has been re-visiting the King Country. * * • • Mrs Kirkwood, of Sydney, is the guest of her sister, Mrs W. J. Sanders, Hangatiki.
