HAMILTON CLUB PENNANT COMPETITION The pennant competition of the Hamilton Swimming Club was advanced a stage further last evening with the following results:— Intermediate boys’ dive: G. Ladd, 15 points, 1; W. Gordon, 12 points, 2; L. Holdman, 7 points, 3. Intermediate girls’ dive: Miss D. Phipps, 15 points, 1; Miss J. Taylor, 14 points, 2. Junior boys’ dive: J. Collins, 15 points, i; J. Wilson, 13 points, 2; R. Ridgway, 10 points, 3. Junior girls, one width: Miss D. Richardson, 2s. 1; Miss P. Innis-Jones, scr., 2; Miss Pat Gracie, 2s, 3. Senior women’s 100yds.: Miss M. Richardson, 12s. 1; Miss N. Barton, scr., 2. Senior men's 220yds.: J. Kenning, ss, 1; IR. Webster, scr., 2; G. Hopcroft, 14s, 3. Time, 2.56 2-ss. Intermediate boys’ 66 2-3 scratch race: G. Ladd, 1; W. Gordon, 2; J. Innis-Jones, 3. The Hamilton Club is keen to annex the intermediate boys’ relay, to be swum in conjunction with the Y.M.C.A. carnival on Saturday night. From present indications the following team, which has been selected, is expected to give a good account of itself: Ladd. Gordon, Morgan, InnisJones and Holdman.
