LABOUR TO MOVE IN HOUSE OF COMMONS UNEMPLOYMENT ISSUE (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright(Received Feb. 9. 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, Feb. 8 It is stated the Labour Opposition in the House of Commons has decided to bring down a vote of censure on the subject of unemployment. It is expected the motion will be taken next week. The Motion The motion deplores the fact that over 2,000,000 people are without work, views with concern the evidence of widespread malnutrition, and expresses the opinion that an immediate improvement in the standard of maintenance is urgently necessary. It also regrets the Government’s continued failure, either to produce plans for the provision of work and wages under the present system or initiate a policy, and recognises that the problem can be solved by the application of Socialist principles.
