SHOPLIFTING CHARGES
PROBATION FOR TWO WOMEN (By Telegraph.—Press Association) DUNEDIN, Wednesday Two shoplifters, Mabel Davidson and Helen Margaret McPhun, who had been in custody for a week on remand, were this morning admitted by the magistrate to one' year’s probation.
CALF POOL FORMED
MEETING AT HORSHAM DOWNS A meeting under the auspices of the Farmers’ Union to consider the formation of a bobby calf pool In the district was held at Horsham Downs last evening, when Mr D. Bruce presided over a large attendance. Mr G. D. Hunter reported on investigations made by a special commitee and the meeting carried a resolution favouring the formation of a pool, by a large margin, and the following committee was appointed to canvass the definied area and corncomplete arrangements:—Messrs. G. D. Hunter, D. Bruce, C. Houltain, H. Stott, O. Strawbrldge.
