LATE MR A. T. BRYANT
PROPOSED MEMORIAL HALL PROJECT AT TE AWAMUTU The construction of a new Sunday School hall, as a memorial to the late Mr Arthur T. Bryant, is under construction in the Te' Awamutu district. The hall, which the Methodist Church trustees hope to erect, is to cost £I7OO and is to be erected on church property near the Methodist church. In a letter to the Te Awamutu branch of the Farmers’ Union financial assistance was sought for the building scheme from the church trustees and various members spoke in support of the proje'et. It was stated tn the communication that the various members of the Bryant family had subscribed several hundred pounds as a memorial gift to the proposed hall. The' request to the Union was made realising that the late Mr Bryant was more than a Methodist, his interests and sympathies were unlimited and unconfined; and it was because of these wider Interests that they wished to give the Union the opportunity of participating in an enduring memorial to one whose memory would always be an inspiration and e'xample in unselfishness and thought for others.
