Copyright) (Received June 1, 3.15 p.m.) LOB ANGELES, May 31 An earthquake, one of the severest since 1833, shook a million Southern Californian homes, but there was no damage. The shock, which was felt over 200 miles of the coastal area from Banta Barbara to San Diego and 150 miles Inland, lasted for several seconds, frightening families from sleep and rattling dishes, etc.
