STERILISERS, PABTEURIBER, AND WEED BURNER Farmers will be particularly interested In the exhibit of Speedway Steam Products Ltd., Auckland, who are featuring their latest productions in the field of farm dairy equipment for yielding economically ample . supplies of boiling water and facilities for sterilising all plant with live saturated steam (the sure and simple way to eliminate all harmful bacteria which are the chief cause of grading troubles). Their latest oil-burnfng unit, the new model “Swift,” Is the last word in heater construction and combines simplicity with efficiency. Farmers are invited to inspect this unit at the Show. Another unit the Speedway Company have recently evolved Is the Skim Milk Pasteuriser, specially adapted for pig farmers. This unit will serve three purposes, the main one being I lie pasteurisation of skim milk as it leaves the separator in order that tubercular infection in marketable pigs may be eradicated. This unit also provides boiling water for all shed equipment and generates sufficient steam for sterilising purposes. Ollier units featured are immersion cream and milk coolers, household Imi-waler genera I urs. and all-steel boilers for general and special use on farm and in factories.
Weed Destruction For the first time, Messrs Speedway Ltd. are demonstrating the latest machine for destroying weed pests, and this unit should create unusual interest among Waikato and visiting farmers. It is the invention of a local well-known farmer, Mr E. D. Best, of Rototuna, whose farm where tile machine has been successfully employed will be available for personal inspection by all those who are experiencing difficulty in weed control and eradication. Practical demonstrations will be arranged daily, and farmers are advised to hook their visit to Mr Best’s farm when viewing the Speedway stand (the first exhibit on entering the Show at the main entrance;.
