CONTEST FOR WAITOMO MR BBOADFOOT ENDORSED (Special to Times) TE KUITI, Monday The nomination of Mr W. J Broadfooi, M.P., as the official National Party candidate for Waitomo, was endorsed at one of the largest meetings

of the kind ever held in Te Kuiti. Every branch of the party in the Waitomo electorate was represented and 100 delegates were present.

No ether nomination was received, and the chairman, Mr J. N. Boddie, referred to Mr Broadfoot’s nomination as a foregone conclusion. An address on organisation was given by Mr Braithwaite, South Auckland secretary. ______
