FAREWELL EVENING

BRUNTWOOD RESIDENTS After twenty years’ residence in the Bruntwood district Mr and Mrs John Campbell and family, who are leaving to make their home in Cambridge, were farewelled by a large gathering of friends in the Hautapu Hall recently. In making a presentation to them on behalf of the residents, Mr W. N. Ferry spoke of the interest they had taken in the affairs of the districtMr Campbell briefly replied and on his behalf Mr T. C. Wallace also returned thanks. During the evening musical items were given by Miss Lily Bone, Messrs T. H. Hampshire, G. James and T. C. Wallace. Supper was followed by dancing.
