Sir Frank, in scoring his first success over the distance, put up a solid periormance, overhauling Transwell in a torrid duel over the last 50 yards to neat him narrowly. Transwell attempted to win all the way and it was only in the last few strides that he proved unequal to it. The favourite. Cavan Chler, was beaten after the fifst round. The winner paid close on a score. w Cavan Chief broke at the start, but he quickly settled down, and as they raced past the stands the first time he was in the lead on terms with Transwell with Our Summer following in lront or luckj Love Baron Grand and Levity.
