BIBLE CENTENARY

MEETINGS IN HAMILTON Yesterday was observed as the annual day of praise and prayer for the British and Foreign Bible Society, and also of thanksgiving for the fourth centenary of the public reading of the English Bible, when meetings, arranged by the Hamilton District Area of the society, were held in St. Paul’s parlour, London Street. The six half-hour sessions were led by the following ministers: Rev. G. C. Reay, Rev. W- J. Hughes (Ngaruawahia), Rev. S. J. Atkins, Major R. E. Liddell, Rev. A. Fotheringham (Ngaruawahia) and Rev. J. W. Parker. The addresses were followed with deep interest.
