NATIONAL INSURANCE THE SCHEME IN AUSTRALIA DEMANDS FOR CONCESSIONS (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) CANBERRA, May 27 The Federal Government is meeting with tremendous opposition to its National Health Insurance Bill now before the House <»f Representatives. I lie Ministry is being harassed by demands for concessions from all quarters. The main opposition conies from medical practitioners who are demanding an increase of the capitation fee from 11s to at least 14s. The Prime Minister. Mr J. A. Lyons, has hinted that he intends to arrppt the challenge by the doctors who have decided to conduct a plebiscite in order to ascertain whether they will work under the Government's plan. Tlie British Medical Association forecasts an 80 per cent vote against the Government. The Labour Party is openly hostile to the Bill, declaring that it does not go far enough.
