GIFT EVENING
BRIDE-TO-BE HONOURED A gift evening was held in the Frankton West Hall recently by the friends of Miss Lorna Putt, who is to he married next week to Mr A. Roberts, of I^aipaki. | An enjoyable time was spent with l dancing, games and items. Mr and Mrs West supplied the music, Mr A. Fawcett playing extras on his pianoaccordion. Mr A. Wigzell was M.C. After supper the guests of the evening opened the numerous gift parcels. Mr Roberts replied on behalf of Miss Putt. Novelty dances were won by Miss J. Wigzell and partner, and Miss D. Nelson and partner. Those present were: —Mesdames A. Roberts (Kaipaki), A. Wigzell, W. Diamond, McLauchan, Bailey, M. Rogers, Black, West ('ohaupo), P. Gibson (Glen Massey), L. Edkins; Misses L. Putt, A. Hawke, J. Wigzell, D. Nelson, E. Putt, E. McLauchan, M. Nelson. May Rogers, I. Saunderson, R. Baker, E. Diamond, G. Lye, P. Kane.
