BOWLING
CLAUDELANDS CU B SUCCESSFUL YEAR REVIEWED There was a large attendance at the annual meeting of the Claudelands Bowling Club last evening, when Mr \V. Chegwidden presided. At a -pecial meeting held prior to the annual meeting various amendments to the rules embodying machinery clauses were adopted, after a full discussion. The president, Mr Chegwidden, reviewed a very successful season in his annual report. Members of the club had competed successfully in various competitions, while several tournaments had been won by the club's representatives. The greens had been kept in excellent order throughout the season and were equal to any green in the district. The statement of accounts showed that totalled £425 and after allowing £52 for depreciation a profit of £l2 was shown. The value of assets was given at £849. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. Election of Officers The election of officers resulted:— Patron. Mr C. Clevely; president, Mr T. B. Lendrum; vice-presidents, Messrs A. W. Webber, H. D. Cobb, W. Chegwidden; secretary, Mr C. F. Henry; treasurer. Mr W. V. Chegwidden; auditor. Mr W. Fraser; green superintendent. Mr C. Clevely; match committee. Messrs G. Clevely, J. W. Shirley and B. Marshall; executive, Messrs H. M. Baker, E. Hammond, J. P. Joyce, B. Marshall, J. Shirley and J. Wilkinson.
