STATEMENT ON OVAL INCIDENT LIST OF INJURIES GIVEN (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. copyright) (Received May 26, 11-30 a.m.) LONDON, May 25 Referring to the incidents at the Oval during the cricket match between the Australians and Surrey, in which the spectators barracked D. G. Bradman, the captain of the visiting learn, for not trying fo enforce a win. Bradman has made the following statement : 44 It is regrettable that the spectators at the Oval disapproved of my action, but I fepl it would have been tolerated had they known the true position.” He then gives a list of the injuries the team has suffered, and concludes: 44 Whilst I am sorry the move was unpopular no reasonable being can refuse to admit that the remainder of the tour must receive adequate consideration.” RAIN PREVENTS PLAY AUSTRALIAN CRICKETERS MATCH AGAINST HAMPSHIRE (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received May 26, 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, May 25 Heavy rain prevented any play in the match between Australia and Hampshire, at Southampton to-day.
