IN THE NURSERY WORLD Another fashion in the nursery world I has been started by the Duchess of j Kent. Prince Edward and Princess Alex- ! andra have spring perambulator covers ; of quilted cotton poplin with cushion - covers to match. Those for Prince j Edward are pale blue and those for the ( baby white. The covers are attached ; to the perambulators with little elastic ! loops and the cushion covers have zipp fasteners. Such covers are not washed but drycleaned. They are taking the place of the usual lawn or muslin cushion cover 1 and the linen slip over the dark blue pram cover. Quilting is popular with other ladies of the Royal Family. The Queen has more than one quilted creamy satin re?t-go\yn, made in the style of an American breakfast-coat or hostessdress and lined with pale pink.
