Mr G. M. Mogg, of Melbourne, visited Hamilton yesterday.

Mr C. A. Barrell, M.P. for Hamilton, left for Wellington last evening to attend the Government caucus. Mr C. Sindrey, a former Viotorian Sheffield Shield cricketer, was a visitor to Hamilton yesterday. The Hon. J. Cotter, M.L.C., of Hinuera, joined the limited express for Wellington at Frankton Junction last evening. Mr F. C. Robe’rts, of Hamilton, has returned from the Manawatu district where he has been organising on behalf of the compensating price campaign. Dr. I. ,T. Cunningham, research officer in animal nutrition at the Wallaceville Veterinary Laboratory, will represent New Zealand at the annual general meeting of the Australian Veterinary Association. Mr C. E. Harrison, general manager of the London and Lancashire Insurance Company, to-day completed 50 years’ service with the company. The unique event is being celebrated in Auckland when representatives of the company from the principal offices throughout the Dominion will be present. Mr W. B. Darlow, the representative of North Shore, was elected chairman of the Auckland Harbour Board at the annual meeting yesterday. Mr R. T. Reid, of Hamilton, was the other candidate. The honorarium was fixed at £2OO. At the monthly meeting of the Waikato County Council to-day reference was ma/le to the death of Mr S. Willis, one of the council’s employees, who was killed on April 14. A motion of sympathy with the relatives of deceased was carried. Messrs E. P. Clatworthy, G. M. McPherson, S. Frankin, M. *E. Benjamin (.Auckland), G. E. Watson, K. Kain, G. M. Knapp, G. Albertson. J. H. Oliver (Wellington), IL N. Roberts, D. Mitchell (Rotorua). J. H. Ashton (New Plymouth), and D. D. Campbell (Tauranga) are at the Hamilton Hotel.
