Copyright (Received May 24, 3.66 p.m.) LONDON, May 23 The Pragua correspondent of the Dally Telegraph says that Dr. Hodza and Herr Henlein conferred for nearly three hours. Sudeten circles state that the conversations were "not unfavourable," and the purpose of the conversations is to clarify and tranquillse the situation. The Government issued a communique identical with the terms of the Sudeten statement. It is understood that the conversations will be continued .to-morrow. It is reported that I»r. Hodza submitted a draft .-tatiite applying to alt non-Czechoslovak nationalities, crantin* full local autonomy hut refusing to sanction anything which would enable a Nazi majority to tyrannise a non-Nazi German minority. The feeling in Government quarters Is that the future will depend on Germany's decisions The Berlin correspondent of the Daily Telegraph says it is stated in Berjfn that nothing less than full autonomy for the Sudetens can be regarded as an adequate concession. Only the most optimistic expect more than a postponement of the crisis. The Berlin correspondent of the Times states that the German view is that the situation has not improved but has become worse.
