PRESBYTERIAN CENTENARY

THANKSGIVING FOND PLAN AIM TO RAISE £300,000 g A meeting of representatives of the several Presbyterian Churches in the northern portion of the Waikato Presbytery was held last evening to further the project for raising £300,ono in the next three years as a Centenary Thanksgiving Fund. Mr F. Findlay presided, and contingents of ofnoe-hearers were present from St. Andrew’s Hamilton . First Church Frankton', Knox Hamilton East), Cambridge, Matangi and Ngaruawahia. The Rev. J. H. Lang, Dominion organiser, gave an address in which he outlined the scheme of organisation as it affected presbyteries and individual congregations. The proposal, he said, had been enthusiastically received. Strong committees have'been set up. and the support so far accorded was an excellent augury assuring success. Me l.ang answered a number of Questions, and the meeting unanimously adopted a resolution pledging Hie co-operation of ihe concrecations represented amt agreeing to take steps to launch the campaign immediately.
