WEDDINGS
WILBON—MALCOLM The wedding took place at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Claudelands, on the afternoon of Saturday, • April 30, when Margaret, eldest daughf ter of Mrs E. C. Malcolm, of Te Rapa, j .vas married to Henry McLaren, eldest j -n of Mr and Mrs James Wilson, of Whakatane, and late of Hamilton. The I Rev. H. G. Gilbert was the officiating ! minister and Mrs Gilbert presided at the organ. The church had been beautifully decorated by friends of the bride with flowers in autumn tints. The bride who entered the church with her eldest brother. Mr James Malcolm, wore a graceful redingote of honey-tinted embossed Chantilly lace over sunray pleated satin. The redingote. which was fashioned with long, fitting sleeves and a small Peter Ran collar of satin, was buttoned in the front to the waist where the skirt fell away to reveal the sun ray pleating. and formed a long train, appliqued with satin. Her long, tulle veil, which was also appliqued. fell from a coronet of oranae blossom to form a second train and she carried a shower bouquet of deep cream chrysanthemums, carnations and maidenhair fern. She also carried a lucky horseshoe. Miss Jean Malcolm, sister of the bride, and Miss Ina Hayward were the bridesmaids. They wore similar frocks of sovereign gold embossed satin ottoman cut on slim-fitting lines, with bolero bodices edged with sequins. The frocks were fashioned with square necklines and long, fitting sleeves. They wore halo hats of the same material with circular tulle veils and carried bouquets of tawny chrysanthemums, dahlias and zinnias. Mr Hudson Wilson, brother of the groom, was best man, and Mr John Malcolm, brother of the bride was groomsman. The ushers at the church were Messrs C. Langton and G. Hyde.
After the ceremony a reception was held In the Centreway Rooms which had been artistically arranged with golden chrysanthemums. The bride’s mother received the guests wearing a smart nigger brown costume and brown peachbloom hat. She carried a posy of golden dahlias and chrysanthemums. Mrs Wilson was wearing a tailored navy costume with a navy hat and she carried a posy of deep red zinnias and pompom dahlias.
When Mr and Mrs H. Mel.. Wilson left on the wedding trip, the bride travelled wearing a frock of bottle green self patterned wool georgette with a caracul coat, hat and accessories to tone.
They will make their home in Whakatane.

BGHNURIGER—STEINER The wedding was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, Te Aroha, last I Thursday, when Mary, elder daughter i of Mr and Mrs Schnuriger, of Switzerwas married to Louis, youngest son of Mr and Mrs Schnariger, of Switzerland. The service, which was fully •horal, was conducted by the Rev. Father Murphy and Sister Patrick presided at the organ. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a beautiful gown -shaded satin.
