BUPPORT TO NATIONALIST* OPPOSITION TO SOCIALISM (Special to Times) TAURANGA, Thureday It is stated that many Country Party members have joined the National Party at Tauranga, the membership of which Is reported to be about 2-500. Two prominent members of the Country Party at the last general election were on the platform with Mr F. W. Doldge, Nationalist candidate for the Tauranga seat, when tha latter addressed a well-attended meeting at Papamoa last night. “It Is clear that we must present a common front against socialism," said Mr Gill. “Our first consideration at the general election must be tha defeat of the Socialist Government. It is for that reason that I stand beside Mr Doldge on this platform tonight.”
