COMING-OF-AGE PARTY
CELEBRATION AT WAIHOU Artistically decorated for the occasion, the Waihou Hall was the setting for the coraing-of-age party tendered Mr E. H. Holmes recently. The evening was spent with modern and old-time dancing to music played by the Merrymakers’ Orchestra. The candles on the birthday cake were lit by Mr D. Lewis and extinguished by the guest of the evening. and Mr Lewis proposed the toast to the guest-of-honour. Musical honours were accorded, and Mr E. J. Holmes presented his son with the key of the door. During the evening novelty dances were won by Mr E. Palmer and Mrs N. Excell, and Mr J. Hunt and Miss C- Jackson. Among the guests were:—Mesdames C.
