DECLINE IN NOTE ISSUE FALL IN DAIRY ADVANCES (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Thursday The Reserve Bank return for the week ended Monday, May 16, was gazetted to-night. The balancing total is £27,241,914, an increase of £401,046 on the previous week’s figure. With the exception of a decline in the note issue of £127,478, there was an all-round increase in liabilities. Trading bank deposits, which in the previous week had declined by £703,047, were lifted again by £436,280. Government deposits also rose, but by a less amount than in the previous week. Sterling exchange over the week increased quite substantially by £367,424, while there was only a moderate decline in the Dairy Industry Account of £48,502, compared with a fall of £588,096 in the previous week.
