YOUTH’S SUDDEN DEATH
SUFFERED CYST ON BRAIN SHOCK TO CAMBRIDGE DISTRICT (Special to Times.) CAMBRIDGE, Thursday. It came as a great shock tro Mr and Mrs James McGovern, of Bruntwood, when word was received that their son Brian, aged IS. had died suddenly at the Revonport Naval Base. Onlv a fortnight ago lie had joined the navy, having been passed as medically fit. * On Tuesday he was being drilled with other recruits when be stumbled and collapsed. Medical aid was secured. hut he died almost immediately. Death was found to be due to a cyst on the brain. Brian was very popular in the Cambridge district and played football for Hautapu juniors. He was born at Herne Bay and was educated at the Marist Brothers’ school. Auckland, Te Awamutu primary school and the Hamilton Technical High School.
