CARD TOURNAMENT The Returned Soldiers’ Association held their fortnightly card tournaments recently. The' winners were Mrs T. J. Hillier and Mr H. Smith, the consolation prizes being won by Mrs C. McNoul and Mr Gray. The music played for the dance later in the evening was supplied by Mr R. Adam accordion). COMING-OF-AGE CELEBRATED About 50 relations and friends gathered at the home of Mr and Mrs Franklin to celebrate the coming-of-age of their son, Mr \Y. Franklin. Cards, games and competitions were played. Music was supplied by Miss T. Dodd and Mr R. Adams. A cake decorated with 21 candles was cut by the guest of the' evening, to whom Mr McLean extended congratulations on behalf of those present. Mr Franklin suitably replied.
