QUEEN CARNIVAL
OPENING DANCE HELD The inauguration of the Queen Carnival being held by the Hamilton Amateur Athletic Association took place recently when a successful dance was held. The carnival was declared officially open by the Mayor, Mr H. D. Caro. The Queens for whom voting is proceeding are: Business Queen, (Miss Tui Beattie), Athletic Queen Miss Joy Crozier), Frankton Queen (Miss Gwen Foster), Basketball Queen (Miss Joan Redmond)* Miss J. Redmond was wearing a frock of primrose taffeta, and Miss Crozier wore green floral crepe and gold coatee. Miss Foster’s frock was of Spanish tile slipper satin and Miss Tui Beattie wore cyclamen taffeta moire.
