CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

MEETING AT TE AROMA (Special to Tim®*) te aroha, Wednesday. At *’ i e monthly meeting of the Chamber o Commerce, Mr L. Hopkins presiding, correspondence was read offering suggestions in the direction of further popularising Te Aroha from the tourist point of view. After a general discussion it was decided that a special invitation be sent to all members to attend the next meeting or the Chamber, with a view to calling a public meeting ror the purpose or promoting a progress league or association. Writing in reference to the recent representations relative to the replacement of the present courthouse and police residence, the Hon. P. Fraser notified the chamber that the matter was under review, while the suggestion or the exchange of site would also be given consideration.
